Contact carrier for details. 5G service, speed and performance depend on many factors, including carrier network capabilities and signal strength. Actual results may vary. Some features not available in all areas. Data rates may apply. See g.co/pixel/networkinfo for info. [2]Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features. Average battery life during testing was approximately 29 hours. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Battery testing conducted in California in early 2022 on pre-production hardware and software, using default settings. Battery testing conducted using Sub-6 GHz non-standalone 5G (ENDC) connectivity. Actual battery life may be lower. [3]Requires Google Photos app. Magic Eraser may not work on all image elements. [4]Wired charging rates up to 18W based on use of Google 30W USB-C® or Google 18W USB-C® Charger plugged into a wall outlet. Actual results may be slower. Adapters sold separately. Compatible with USB PD 3.0 PPS adapters. [5]Not available in all languages or countries. Not available on all media or apps. See g.co/pixel/livetranslate for more information. Translation may not be instantaneous. 3Your Pixel will receive feature drops during the applicable Android update and support periods for the phone. See g.co/pixel/updates for details. [6]Internet connection required during setup only. [7]Designed to comply with dust and water protection rating IP67 under IEC standard 60529 when each device leaves the factory but the device is not water or dust proof. The accessories are not water or dust resistant. Water resistance and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and will diminish or be lost over time due to normal wear and tear, device repair, disassembly or damage. Dropping your device may result in loss of water/dust resistance. Liquid damage voids the warranty. See g.co/pixel/water for details. [8]Compared to Pixel 5a. [9]Deblurring may not work on all photos or videos with faces. [10]Some third party apps and data may not be transferred automatically. Visit g.co/pixel/copydatahelp for information. Coming from a Samsung A20S, this phone was much cleaner and better produced package. Excellent battery life. I can't speak to the camera beyond saying that it works just fine. Let's not obsess on megapixel count. Beyond a certain point, this is rather meaningless unless you're filming your next Netflix special.
The rapid charging (0 to full in under 2 hours) is great. Can get a little warm when busy and charging etc but no big deal. Excellent screen size - I didn't want a humungous slab.
I use it as a dual SIM phone and this works extremely well, especially with the later Android support for this. Installed main carrier's SIM as an eSIM, and then foreign physical SIM in the one physical slot available. (So ignore those questions and comments saying that it cannot be done).
In short, a great phone that works well (touch wood!).
Update: I've just received my "refund" for the dead phone. Did the money get credited back to my credit card account? No, it did not. Instead I got a stinkin' Amazon Gift Card which is only usable at Amazon. So 5 stars for phone, -5 for sleazy behaviour from Amazon.
I bought this to replace an aging obsolete LG phone that was nearly non-functional after just 2 years of use. It is fast, responsive, feels and looks sturdy and high quality.
For those who don't know, Pixels are geared to attract iPhone users to the android platform so the ergonomics are a bit different from other androids. I didn't know this going in but some things are more iPhone like than they would be with other androids. The only downside is the very unsightly massive camera bar that basically requires you to put a case on this phone because it sticks out on the back side of it.
I don't use the phone that intensively, but I do plenty of texting, emailing, and Bluetooth music playing. The battery life isn't amazing. I had 2 Motorola phones that could easily get 2 days out of 100% battery. The 6a sits at 20% after a day of average use. This ain't great in my opinion as I know someone who has a Samsung with a similar level of use that is left with 35-50% at the end of the day.
This isn't a budget phone, it's a solidly mid range phone that will perform adequately. The camera is good enough. The processor is crisp and responsive. The touch screen is top notch. My only complaint is the ugly camera bar and less than stellar battery. The camera bar REQUIRES you to put a case on this phone..it isn't optional. It sticks out a tiny bit and would easily be shattered with the right drop impact.
1. a nice reliable camera for still photos and social media uploads.
2. a fluid phone for web/app browsing that has smart features and can become your assitant, for example home smart things, call & text screening, google assistant's ai (reading aloud, making summaries, setting up alarms, giving info on weather)traffic/general topics, and a lot more).
3. a compact phone in size with a nice battery life (ends the day with over 15% remaining for regular use apps, browsing, email, texting, taking photos, reading ebooks, little streaming)
4. security, it has a chip dedicated to security and the native/clear Android version. Helps a lot.
5. a customizable look (google at a glance is the best widget ever)
6. A resistant screen - I drop my phone a lot. So far, all good no scratches on the screen (I do not use a glass, but I do use a case). It is a finger print magnet though :(
I don't use my phone for gaming or video recording... That's why this phone is perfect for me. For content creators and gaming that I'd recommend iPhone, Samsung or others.

Fast camera, quality OLED screen, Gorilla glass, 5G, water resistance rating and a decent livable size. Phones can be huge making it difficult to manage in your day to day. How and where do you put it? This size can be put in your pocket or be worn on the belt.
More about the "Always On". I appreciate the fact that when the phone is beside me, I can glance at it without touching it and it gives me information; Day, Date, Time etc. Not all screens/phones can do this.
It has only been a week and I am still getting used to (and surprised by) all the features. I can recommend this phone without hesitation.
