It’s a hard plastic that’s soft to the touch. Almost like silicone but without having that texture that attracts lint. It feels and looks super nice. My only complaint is that the top isn’t connected to the bottom (gen 3) so I worry about it popping off but it doesn’t easily side off so it should be fine.(Updated)I’ve had this case for awhile now and the top doesn’t pop off I’ve had no problems with that. My only problem is that it’s gotten stained and it won’t come clean. So not sure it’s worth the $30 for it to look bad after a couple months.

Sage green is a really nice color. Smooth to the touch with a matte finish. Definitely good quality, feels like it will hold up well. Good choice for 3rd generation AirPods.

This is a nice quality case. I ordered it to replace a previous cheaper model from a different manufacture (paid $6 for that green one) that lasted for a few months until the top part started to come off (the green one in the 3rd picture). By comparison, The "Native Union" case in "Indigo" I'm reviewing here is not a Silicon case. It's a had shell made of 2 separate pieces. So, here's my first concern: will it get loose with age like the other one? If that happens, will it get lost completely and render this case useless. What motivated me to replace my old green one was that the top part started to come off, but at least it's still connected to the bottom part and it's less likely that I would lose the top part.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
1-Made well and fits almost perfectly.
2-Hard shell could provides better protection if you drop it.
3-Soft and pleasing feel when you handle it.
4-The back is marked by a small logo - less confusing when you slip your AirPods.
5-You can charge AirPods with MagSafe, but you have to keep wiggling it until you see the tiny light come on.
Cons:
1-It's about 3-5 times the price of many similar products.
2-I wish the top part was connected to the bottom so I don't worry losing the top.
Conclusion: A good product but a little overpriced. In my opinion, I had preferred the top attached to the lower part .
The question is now: How well will it stand the test of time?
Is it really worth paying the extra price?
I will update if any issue or concern came up.

This is probably as expensive as it gets, but the quality is also visibly better than cheaper ones.
It fits well and snugly, almost perfect. I probably could push the top down a bit further, so there is no gap between the cap and bottom. But it is already good enough.
The material is like hard rubber, not silicon soft. I imagine it provides enough protection to the case if it's very dropped.
All in all, it has good quality for its purpose. It may seem a bit costly, but it's personal preference if someone feels high price means high quality.

I chose the mint green option, which is roughly the same shade of green as the iPhone 12 (non-Pro model). I would call it a pale version of mint green, but I do like it. It’s pretty close to the official product photo, while still being a little less green.
The elephant in the room is the price, $30 is high for an AirPods case. It’s not for me to say if a case is objectively worth that much or not. People will have to make up their own minds about that.
As far as I know, this is the second case they have released for the 3rd generation AirPods, with the other one being a softer silicone material. This one is a hard shell and more protective all around. There is no adhesive to hold the top piece onto the lid, but it fits so tightly that I don’t think it will be an issue.
There is minimal branding on the case, but the carabiner that clips to your keychain or bag has the words “Native Union” on the side of it.
This is a nice case and it has a unique color, but you could get 2-3 no-name brand cases for AirPods at this price.

I really love the light green color but it gets stained quick and nothing I’ve used will remove the stains. Once the case is on, it is not easy to remove. The attached carabiner is the only thing i will save after only using this for a month because the dirty appearance annoys me.
